Through my photographs, I travel to the border between the past and the present, searching for the limits that have historically restricted my physical freedom. I am interested in the intersections between the body, memory, and territory. My grandmother sewed clothes for other people. When there was fabric left over, she would join the scraps together and make a sheet (añedido) to cover her children. That sheet, made of fragments and care, holds a family memory that includes me. In it, I recognise myself as part of a history that extends beyond the domestic: in this territory that is apparently new to me, I discover that her sheet can also cover mountains.

My photographs are windows into my intimacy and, at the same time, a step in the process of self-discovery and acceptance I maintain a balance between exposure and introspection: the personal becomes public through images that challenge social impositions on the body, family, and violence, freeing me from the mental limitations that restrict self-expression.

I want to lose my fear of seeing myself so that I can embrace my existence.
