I have been thinking about home. Sometimes it is easier to do so from a distance; it’s hard to see the shape from the inside, you have to go out and take a few steps back.
In Blanca, home turned into colors and lines.
I have drawn it on fabric with thread and intuition, the flow of an absent landscape. It is still a little unclear and open to interpretation, but familiar in a new light.

Anne Järvi is a multidisciplinary artist based in Turku, Finland. She mainly works with textile, drawing, and text. Her work revolves around themes such as absence, failure, competition, and disappointment.
