Period of Residency:  From September to December, 2026.
Possible duration from 1 to 6 months.
Recommended minimum duration  2 months.

AADK Spain invites artists and researchers to participate in this edition of its artist residency program, which aims to explore the notion of the trace as a space of transition between presence and absence, and as a tool for reconfiguring the relationship between space and memory. Participants are invited to consider the trace as a material record and as an ephemeral gesture capable of expanding the ways in which we inhabit and give meaning to the territory. The residency will take place at the Centro Negra in Blanca, Murcia.

Cruce, Space for Transformation

Period of Residency: From January to December, 2026

Ongoing open call

 

CRUCE is a multidisciplinary residency program with no specific theme, designed for artists and creators who wish to work independently and flexibly, without being required to adapt their creative process to the local context or adopt site-specific approaches, although these may also emerge spontaneously. It is conceived as a decentralized space for rest, personal research, and remote work, promoting innovative lifestyles, critical thinking, and cultural diversity.

 

It is a modular residency program where you can tailor your stay, adapting the experience to your needs.

 

The duration of the residency is flexible, with a minimum of 2 weeks. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year. Reservations are made in order of request.

SYMPOIESIS / SITUATED Residencies / 2027 / Early call

Period of Residency:  From January to December, 2027.
Possible duration from 1 to 6 months.

AADK Spain invites artists and researchers to participate in this edition of its artist residency program, which aims to explore the concept of “Sympoiesis” generating the conditions for nature to express itself through associative processes, and recognizing the landscape, the land, and its elements as co-authors of the work. Participants can also understand sympoiesis as an art of interdependence, revealing how human actions and ecosystem responses are intertwined. Similarly, participatory and community-based art projects can be seen as ways of weaving networks and generating new social ecosystems. The residency will take place at the Centro Negra in Blanca, Murcia.

ON DURATION is an international artist residency program focused on durational and site-specific practice, conceived and founded by performance artist and academic Dr. Raegan Truax.

 

The residency provides a space for artistic growth and critical reflection, inviting participants to explore time as material, method, and political stance through their practice. Dominant productive rhythms are questioned, and alternative temporalities are experimented with, understanding durational practice as a tool to challenge and unsettle oppressive systems and structures.

 

The program seeks to bring together an intergenerational and international working group, fostering the exchange of methodologies, experiences, and diverse perspectives around time as artistic material.

Performance Intensive 2026

This open call ends on December 21st 2025

Residency period: 4th – 13th  January, 2026

 

AADK Spain invites applications for a two-weeks performance intensive led by artist Raegan Truax. Working with the human body as a site of knowledge, creation, and connectivity, the performance intensive gives all participants the opportunity to be in nature, to quiet distractions, to alter your relationship to
time and space, and to focus on your creative and artistic growth.
