AADK Sonora

Sound container of AADK Spain

From 2017 to date, the project has developed various artistic and educational practices that use sound as a medium: concerts, conferences, specialized workshops, seminars, territory mapping, Active Listening practices for children and teacher training in the formal education system. The initiative had the support of the Carasso Foundation until the end of 2020 and has positioned itself as one of the most complete experimental sound programs in Spain.

Currently, this project hosts residencies around sound, continues to develop the sound map of the Ricote Valley, organizes the annual experimental music festival ‘De la Raíz al Noise’ and manages a radio channel in podcast format and its own experimental music label under the pseudonym Aldarrax.

 Casa Jazmín, forms of living

We are currently working on the comprehensive rehabilitation of La Peña Negra, the oldest neighborhood of the town in which most of the constructions have fallen into disuse.
Through a series of actions carried out by professionals from various disciplines (architecture, sociology, arts, biology, among others) we are rethinking the possibilities of this area to enhance its cultural and historical heritage. Casa Jazmín is the first step in this direction.

LABORATORY FOR
CRITICAL  SPATIALITIES

Tahwila

This lab is an interdisciplinary research group that works in the intersections of architecture, landscape design, urban planning and art. It reflects upon space production mechanisms considering contextual conditions and local resources as a starting point.

Tahwila favors the economy of means. Our goal is to transform disadvantages into potential! We support regenerative processes and (bio-) diversity, collaborate with and learn from local actors (human and non-human) and from the scientific community. We are part of the extended campus of AADK Spain, in Huerta Arriba, Blanca Tahwila is a project created by LoCS founded by Andrés y María F. Agudelo Ganem
