Collaborative program Translocality consists of a series of annual meetings arranged by a European trans-local network. It intends to address common needs and challenges that are transversal on different artistic practices. Furthermore, it aims to rethink current production formats and models through on-site actions.

During the first edition of the program setted up by AADK Spain, Transloca was born. This is a group of artists and other European cultural agents united by the conviction that true power and artistic quality are to be found at local scale – in both, central urban surroundings or in rural areas.

With a horizontal structure, Transloca works by promoting collaboration and exchange of resources between different venues, platforms and contemporary art projects. Its actions are carried throughout Europe, responding to each context and cultural landscape in which they intervene.
