In 2024, AADK Spain expanded its field of action to the Greek Peloponnese, activating a residency in the village of Nea Livera, conceived in collaboration with Manos Kotsaris and Abraham Hurtado. This experience proposed a rethinking of the artist’s studio and more traditional practices through work in natural environments and outdoors, exploring the landscape as a space for research, creation, and coexistence.

The residency was directed at artists from all disciplines, as well as researchers, writers, and curators, and fostered a collective reflection on the role of artistic practices in a context shaped by the climate crisis, migration, conflicts, and contemporary social transformations.

This initiative constituted the pilot edition of the Expanded Spaces program, marking the beginning of a line of work oriented toward decentralization and collaboration with other rural territories.
