ROTA Festival – Residency period: November – December 2023
During his residency at the 6th edition of the ROTA Festival 2023, Álvaro Sola developed his research around the local religious cult; to do so, he gathered information by holding meetings with the parish priest of Blanca, obtaining data that provided references for his work in progress. Álvaro carried out a series of interviews with the local adult female population in order to find a range of appropriate colours for the costumes he wore during his show at the Teatro Victoria in Blanca. During his stay, the artist composed six tracks for his new album and completed other songs that were in the process of being created. His warmth and communicative fluency led him to generate and establish links with the population and the AADK Spain team.
