Ana Carucci, sound and visual artist, and musician Ignacio Andrés came together on this chance to carry out a conceptual sound work around the body and its way of inhabiting the environment. Their exploration consists of understanding how their body inhabits the new soundscape that surrounds them and generating a dialogue with it.
Attentive, like hunters, they capture the waves in their multiple sound manifestations.
These ambient sounds are the matter to which both respond -either with their body generating sounds by touch, pulse, friction and voice- or digitally distorting, synthesising, sequencing until they become something new, different.

Throughout the process, there has been a constant displacement from the interior to the exterior in which both often overlap -from sounds collected in an interior in which the outside sneaks in, to the exteriorization of their interior, emotional and imaginary worlds. This awareness of the outside and the inside has taken on great relevance after the experience of the pandemic, in which the outside was not habitable and in which their exterior was urban. Now, in a place surrounded by nature, this apparently infinite opening allows them to listen even more to what emerges from their inner worlds.

This work blurs the boundaries between the binaries, natural versus artificial, the inside and the outside.
Carucci and de Andrés highlight the dissolution between the original source and the media that reproduce its memory, in the same way that an immense part of ours and of our own experience is contained and generated outside the living body.
Our cyborg and posthuman identity is no longer science fiction or a strange prediction of the future with a complete break with the past; rather, it is a process in which we have been immersed and expanding for some time now.
