Book process
Anders is currently developing a book for AADK Spain’s 10th anniversary, to be published later in the spring of 2022. The ambition is to create a book that reflects on the relationship between the inhabitants of Blanca and the artistic endeavour of the platform in Centro Negra and in the town throughout the 10 years of its presence here.
His work is editing the photographs that will compose the book, therefore he is going through the archives of AADK, selecting images of different projects from a variety of artists that have been developed here. The selected images will create a rich multi-layered storytelling that will be held together by photographs of the landscapes of Blanca and its surroundings.
In parallel with the picture editing, Anders is conducting interviews with people from Blanca and friends of Centro Negra, in an attempt to understand the relationship between the local community of the town and the international community of Centro Negra. He hopes to be able to extrapolate some of the very kind and beautiful things said about Centro Negra to add yet another layer, another voice of Blanca to the book. What is shown on this occasion is not the final book edit, but a step on the way and a possibility to open up and share the process with all of those participating in the event.
