Rafalowicz works with variety of mediums such as painting, video art, printmaking. The main medium he works with is painting.
From many sources of inspiration he points to Byzantine and Russian Icons, as well as Contemporary American Abstract Painting to be the most influential for his creative practice. The most common topics for his work are ordinary items and fragments of urban architecture, cut out from their original contexts and transposed into symbolic space through painterly means.

In Centro Negra he chose to work in the Space 3, a small patio where architecture and nature hold one another. Placing his paintings in it and using found objects of the surrounding, he emphasizes the idea of art as an artefact of human nature.
