I am constantly drawn to simple geometric and abstract shapes that occur in the land and cityscape around me. I am also very much inspired by colour and the natural world. I rely on these shapes, colours and observations to pull me into the moment and help me simplify and express all it is that I am feeling.

I am fascinated by the inner world and am empathically drawn to and affected by all life forms. The pain and beauty present in everything is sometimes very overwhelming and I use these shapes and symbols to express what it is I feel without the complication of language. Recurring pattern, random forms and colour combinations are my means of connecting first with myself and what is going on for me, and then hopefully with others. I often feel as if I experience two worlds at once: the agreed upon social reality and then the even greater subtext of what is actually occurring. The symbols and shapes can convey my experience of this subtext and help to touch on a deeper more authentic and simple expression of presence.

I wish to use this special time in beautiful Blanca to further explore the symbolism of these shapes and use them as a means of communication, prayer and connection.
