The work of Loretta is based on the interaction of her body with materiality and the experience of the exchange she lives with the act of painting -the implication of her body in the action.

Here, the inspiration comes from what surrounds her and the energy she feels in this place, in found objects and the colours she sees.
Loretta creates connections between the perceptions through different senses and tries to capture the identity of the place.
Her paintings are a mixture of expressive gestures that display the energy she perceives in her surroundings, as well as organic very controlled shapes that connect colour masses and layers. By combining geometric edges with almost biological shapes, she portrays the relationship between the limits and the breakthrough that an artist needs to constantly deal with.
Loretta also displays, together with the paintings, elements of a reference to connect her objects of inspiration with her subjective translation

Intimacy, isolation, and introspective immersion while leaving some space for the influence of the place. The colours of the houses that she sees from Casa Jazmin, the shapes, and the impact of wind and light have been the inspiration captured in her paintings.
The soundscape shaping her moods and grounding her in a foreign land, her thoughts and the perception of time found their way in words and field recordings.
The impact of the location and weather on her body lead Loretta to new explorations and discoveries, underlining the connection between her body and her artworks.
The self-isolation confronted the artist with her fragilities and made her reflect on the difficulties of freedom.
With these works, Loretta attempts to make visible parts of that intimate world in which we learn about ourselves.
