My Blue
“The project created during a stay at Centro Negra in Blanca was inspired by the state of a chronic tiredness and the hyperactivity tendency, which can be observed both in myself as in nowadays societies. The images received through filming myself when trying to find the right moment to relax, interposed with the photographs of the natural surroundings as a place bringing a certain relief, became a base to create a series of cyanotypes, collage miniature artworks and a video installation. One of the projected videos is a documentation of the local fruit picking and further jam production. The record of that activity, as an experience of a contemplative type of labour in the contact with nature, is an answer to the previously mentioned problem of the total fatigue, in the times of the virtual daily life and the lack of contact with the real matter.”
