The work of Max and Hampus investigates and problematizes participation in performance art. It takes place in a space shared by the two performers and the audience, with hanging fabrics connected by a modular rope system.
The piece acquire different shapes each time it is performed, building from a set of predefined elements and, at the same time, depending on the decisions and actions of the audience. Understanding participation as a constant element (even in the case of passive observation), the piece triggers a space for contemplation and negotiation about possibilities, about what could be done and what is actually done.
