Castillo de Naipes is an installation which formalizes the emotional states and expectations which the society and self judgement generates in people.
To experiment in art is to jump into the void and leave behind what you have learned to undertake new conceptual and material hunts
After conceptualizing in the first month of residency a new medium that can host the imagery of her illustrations, Noelia has been confronted with the emptiness, with the vertigo, with inconstancy, the doubts and consequently with demotivation.
She wills to create freely but her visual language has been at the time her net,there is a technique learned by the body, by its repetition and it is difficult to get rid of it.
The installation composed by fragments of her previous artwork, with intervened panels and mirror sheets, contains in a sculptural way, all the process she went through during the second month of residency.
A House of Cards is the image of all expectations we generate, beautiful in its balance but fragile like the dreams.
Sometimes we learn more from an empty page than from a finished artwork.
