La piel What is this space? – the space between sound and body. What is the body of sound?
Sound, Paula Sanchez tells me, is an object to move around. In her work, we are invited
to move into the sound, feel its dimensions and add our movement to the multi-layered
performance of the artist. Sanchez wants to disrupt the convention of the performer and
audience divide. In her work, the sound travels – instruments, bodies, objects all moving
– the live composition always in flux.
