This piece started as a study in beginnings, using the home as an example of a starting point. To begin a cycle, you must initiate from some place.
As Yvonne progressed through readings, movement, and sound, she found that a space of home is a fixed feeling, not a fixed place.
Home reminds her of her family, her love, her solitude, her sense of ownership and privacy. If home is a feeling, than it is a history, it has an archived existence that cannot be packed away and set in storage.
To build a home, and decipher it is difference from a house, one has to decipher the stories, the alienation of self, the disembodiment, the illusionary understanding of where you came from.
