APNEA is a suspended time. The space between the blink of an eye where the game of pushing the limits holds the threat of losing control. An inner journey in which the cessation and the sublime beauty coexist with the frenzied and the absurd – while a nocturnal butterfly takes flight, thousands of universes cross an individual. Who we have been and who we want to be overlap between times, we might have the chance of a new opportunity.

Hidden memories of the future, answers to questions that have not yet been asked, resonances of a self that has not yet existed.

The confinement is my freedom between four walls. A room for the soul tired of running. A pause in the systemic rhythm to connect with the beat. A call to look within, where time does not exist. An existential and economic anguish that whispers in the mornings. A monster that devours the light of my gaze in an autophagic process that illuminates a new being. A distillate of my person.

Everything has happened in the cranial compartment, my room is the world and I cannot not be in it. Escape. Among lemon trees, I found the path to merge with the Earth and vomit the insect.

Creative process

AFTER THE WORLD is an open process that began to sprout thirteen moons ago. So far, this concept has crystallized in a musical composition, an installation and a radio show that Selu does for Tesla FM. Currently another drift has been opened, an audiovisual investigation that aims at its conclusion in an autobiographical feature film that travels between documentary and fiction, built on a symbolic narrative.
