Christopher Matthews is a choreographer who has developed a 30 minutes experimental film during his residency with AADK Spain.

Presented in an open, dark cube with a double screen video, the artwork is based on a soundscape composition and close ups of non-human life, as well as a hecticly dancing body.
Matthew’s artwork is largely a sound choreography composed by Blanca’s town and nature sounds. In it, we can observe the intertwined borders between these two landscapes.

The images underline the stillness as movement as the silence is a relevant part of the sound composition. Starting from very subtle sounds and movements the rhythms increase throughout the film reaching a very synthetic and electronic atmosphere.
